Say It With Love

By Paul Gordon

The most convincing communication is seated in love — for the person, the idea, or the moment.

Enthusiasm is contagious. So is its absence. When you genuinely enjoy what you're engaging with, you give the audience permission to enjoy it too. And love is the cleanest fuel for meaning it: it's very hard to perform safety about something you actually adore.

Warmth you can't fake, only find

You don't manufacture this with a brighter smile. You access it by going to something you genuinely care about and letting the warmth come off you unguarded. The audience reads the realness instantly — it's the difference between a host who's selling and a friend who's sharing.

Take it further

Before recording, find the part of your topic you genuinely love, and start there. The warmth is the technique.
